Welcome to our King of the Hill Chess Event!
What is King of the Hill Chess? It’s a variant of Chess where the another way to win is by bringing the king to the center of the board!
King of the Hill Chess is a great way to hone in on 2 very important principles in chess - taking control of the center and king safety. Players will have to think carefully as they push for a win in a very unorthodox way!
At this event, we’ll:
✅ Teach how to play King of the Hill Chess and explain the rules
✅ Practice games to get the hang of it
✅ Run a fun tournament with medals for top players
✅ Celebrate with pizza at the end!
Perfect for chess students who want a fun twist of chess with some added bonus of creativity. (This is a drop-off event — no space for parents to stay.)
