About the event
Welcome to our Bughouse Chess Event!
What is bughouse? It’s fast-paced, chaotic team chess — and a ton of fun! You and a partner face off against another duo. When you capture a piece, your teammate can drop it onto their board as one of their own!
Bughouse teaches teamwork, fast decision-making, and tactical creativity. It builds quick thinking under pressure — and it’s super fun.
At this event, we’ll:
✅ Teach how to play bughouse and explain the rules
✅ Practice games to get the hang of it
✅ Run a fun tournament with medals for top teams
✅ Celebrate with pizza at the end!
Perfect for chess students who want a fun and exciting variant to spark their minds and think creatively. (This is a drop-off event — no space for parents to stay.)
